We have advised clients from within Kenya and those beyond on matters touching on the above. We help them shield innovation from undeserved financial exploitation. We also offer Trade Mark watch services for our clients.

Under the Civil Litigation Department at the Firm, we act for our clients who wish to recover amounts that are lent to persons and institutions.
Such litigation largely arises out of the debt recovery work that we do for our client banks and other financial institutions.
Additionally, we take up civil or commercial litigation that may be filed against our corporate clients arising out of claims of breach of contracts or otherwise that involves payment of some sums. We also institute such Litigation where necessary on behalf of our clients.
|
|
|
 |
|
| |
Our Civil Litigation Department also deals with other forms of Litigation that may arise when we need to file suit on behalf of clients or defend any cases that are filed against our clients.
These may be disputes arising out of leases, tenancies and licenses and other interest in land matters where any party may feel that they need to have recourse to court to enforce their claims.
If a breach is remediable, we first send out a Cease and Desist Letter or Formal Demand Letter. By doing so, we hasten to add, we try to settle disputes out of court and only resort to Litigation as a final resort due to the costs and the long process involved.

Under our Commercial Law Department, we also draft the various Letters of Engagement or Employment Contracts for several of our corporate clients.
We also draft various policies that are required at the workplace and are also involved in Collective Bargaining Agreements that our clients may wish to enter with any of their unionisable staff.
We also advise them on any breaches of employment contracts and defend them in any Civil Litigation that may arise.
There have been various aspects of Employment Law that have changed in Kenya especially with the fairly recent enactment of the Employment Act, 2007 together with all the other related labour legislation.
